Calm, Evidence-Informed Therapy and Wellbeing Support

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in anxiety, struggling with sleep, or finding it hard to switch off mentally, it can feel exhausting – especially if you’ve already tried to cope, reason your way through it, or “keep going” for others.

I’m Sylvia Ingle, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Mind Calming Specialist, offering calm, evidence-informed therapy and wellbeing support for adults, children, and professionals across the UK. My work focuses on helping the nervous system settle, so clarity, emotional balance and resilience can return naturally.

Sessions are delivered online, allowing you to access support privately, safely, and in a way that fits around real life.

You’re welcome to explore how this support works and whether it feels right for you.

When the Nervous System Is Overloaded, Willpower Isn’t Enough

Many of the challenges people come to me with – anxiety, insomnia, emotional overwhelm, burnout, confidence issues – are not signs of weakness or failure.

They are signs that the nervous system has been under strain for too long.

When this happens:

The mind stays on high alert

Sleep becomes disrupted

Emotions feel harder to regulate

Old memories or patterns can resurface

Logical reassurance stops working

Therapy doesn’t need to be about digging endlessly into the past or forcing change. Often, the most effective place to start is by helping the system feel safe enough to settle.

A Calm, Root-Cause Approach

My work takes a root-cause approach, rather than managing symptoms alone.

Sessions use an integrated framework, which may include:

Clinical hypnotherapy

Havening Techniques®

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

Mindfulness

Clarity-based coaching

These approaches are not delivered as separate “tools”. Instead, they’re used intuitively and responsibly within each session, guided by what feels most supportive and appropriate for you.

This allows change to feel:

Gentle rather than forced

Grounded rather than overwhelming

Sustainable rather than short-lived

I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) which is a structured, evidence-based program designed to treat chronic sleep problems without relying on medication.

Who I Work With

Adults and Professionals

People come to me for support with anxiety, stress, insomnia, emotional overwhelm, burnout, trauma responses, confidence issues, emotional eating, IBS, and menopause-related challenges.

Many are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside.

Children and Young People

I offer gentle, age-appropriate support for children and teenagers experiencing anxiety, sleep difficulties, emotional overwhelm, or confidence issues. Parents are supported with clear explanations and practical tools to help reinforce calm beyond sessions.

Organisations and Workplaces

I work with organisations delivering wellbeing workshops and programmes focused on stress management, sleep, and resilience.

Working with Sylvia was a wonderful and healing experience. She has a fantastic attitude and a very caring heart and really helped me. I feel very lucky to have being helped by her and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone who wants support.

I have had the wonderful experience of working with Sylvia periodically over the past 10 years. Initially, I attended one of her meditation classes. After struggling for years to embrace meditation, my one-on-one sessions with her completely transformed my early practice. In addition, her hypnotherapy sessions have been especially supportive during several tough chapters. Feedback from employees in my former business who attended classes with her were universally positive as well. Her grounding in mental health is augmented by a deep understanding of nutrition, physical fitness, longevity and sleep.

Since my cancer diagnosis, Sylvia has helped me with a number of issues over several years. She has a broad toolbox which has enables her to decide which tool would be best placed to help and sometimes uses a mixture of different techniques. She has enabled me to face a long course of radiotherapy head on without the need for sedatives for my claustrophobia using hypnotherapy and helped me overcome PTSD, following traumatic surgery and is currently helping me face my anxiety during regular chemotherapy after more than two and a half years of continuous treatment with her Mindcalming techniques. I would absolutely recommend her.
